How to Apply
- Complete the application for admission to the MBA Program at www.malone.edu/apply.
- Have transcripts and references sent to Malone’s Graduate and Professional Studies Office.
- Complete the Math Diagnostic test. Call the Graduate and Professional Studies Office (330-471-8500) to arrange this appointment. Click to download a study guide for the test.
- An interview with the Program Director.
NOTE: Classes for each cohort are filled on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Application Details
Regular Admissions
- Hold a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution with a minimum cumulative g.p.a. of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Complete the Malone University MBA Math Prerequisite Diagnostic Test.
Conditional Admission
Applicants with a cumulative g.p.a. between 2.5 and 3.0 may be considered if the applicant has the potential for successful completion of the MBA. Contact the Graduate and Professional Studies Office to discuss the review process.
Prerequisite Courses
These prerequisites may be met by previous undergraduate course equivalents. For students needing these courses, the following are offered in a convenient one evening a week, five-week format throughout the academic year:
- ACC 502 Survey of Accounting (2)
- FIN 502 Survey of Finance (2)
- MKT 502 Survey of Marketing (2)
- MBA Foundational Math for MBA (3)*
*May be satisfied by an acceptable score on the Malone University Math Diagnostic Test.

- Cohorts 29 & 30 - $565 per credit hour
- Cohorts 32 & 33 -$595 per credit hour
Note: Rates remain the same for two years from start of cohort for continuously enrolled students.
Financial Aid
The Federal Stafford Loan (Subsidized or Unsubsidized) is available to students who need financial assistance. To qualify for a student loan the graduate students must:
- Be degree-seeking or pursuing teacher certification at Malone University.
- Be enrolled at least half-time, which translates to a minimum of five credit hours.
- Demonstrate financial need (for subsidized loan only).
- Not be in default on a former loan or owe a refund on a federal grant.
- Complete the FAFSA online at www.fafsa.ed.gov (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and the Malone Financial Aid Application and submit to Malone's Financial Aid Office by the first day of the month before the semester begins (April 1 for Summer, August 1 for Fall, December 1 for Spring). Our Title IV school code is 003072.
- Holders of previous federal student loans must be enrolled at least halftime to be eligible for deferment. NOTE: One fourth of tuition is payable at registration if financial aid documents are not received in a timely manner.
Reimbursement will be made if the loan is fully disbursed and there is available credit.
Notice: The University will not release transcripts, diplomas or teaching licenses until all accounts are settled. All charges must be paid in full before graduation. All accounts must be paid in full before enrollment in another semester is permitted. Interest may be charged on any unpaid balance. The university reserves the right to use collection agencies and/or take appropriate legal action to collect any unpaid tuition and fees owed to the college. All associated collection costs will be the responsibility of the student.
