The Center for Professional Development (CPD) at Malone University offers a broad range of high quality, contemporary, and flexible professional development opportunities.
Malone is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association. Malone is authorized by the Ohio Board of Regents and has approval from the Ohio Department of Education to offer workshops for graduate credit.
The workshops are high quality and align with the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) standards and mandates. Each student should check with their Local Professional Development Committee (LPDC) to confirm a fit with their individual professional development plan.
The workshops are for graduate credit based on semester hours. Workshops are typically 1-2 credits. Grades are assigned.
The following is a sample of the workshop topics: technology, art, music, reading and literature, counseling, science, math, special needs, etc.
Depending upon the nature of the workshop, classrooms used are in Mitchell Hall, Founders Hall, Catell Library, Osborne Hall, or the Johnson Center. See campus map.
