New Nomination Procedure For Malone Athletics Hall of Fame !!

We are no longer requiring “nomination packets” in order for a person to be nominated for the Malone Athletics Hall of Fame.  Current Malone head coaches will research and provide the top 3-5 persons within their particular sport for nomination and provide those names to the Committee Chair. In addition, anyone else may nominate someone by simply sending the name only (with sport), in writing (via letter, fax or email), to the Committee Chair (Mark Bankert).  Please send nomination names by mail to Mark Bankert, Malone University Athletic Department, 2600 Cleveland Ave. NW, Canton, Ohio 44709, by fax (attention: Mark Bankert) to 330-471-8298 or by email to .

All nominations will now be due by October 1^st of each year.  A newly enlarged selection committee will review the entire list of all nominees (coaches nominees and other nominees) after receiving athletic data on the nominees from the Sports Information Office.  The committee will select either three (3) or four (4) inductees each year. The annual Athletics Hall of Fame banquet will be held in late January each year.

Eligibility Requirements
Established in 1985, the Malone University Athletics Hall of Fame recognizes individuals who have distinguished themselves in athletics while at the University. To qualify, athlete inductees must be graduates of Malone, must have graduated at least ten years prior to selection, must exemplify the highest ideals of intercollegiate athletics, and must have earned two letters in one or more sports. As a coach, they must have served the University athletics department ten or more years. In 2007, a new provision was established to allow athletics administrators or other support personnel to become eligible, again with a minimum of 10 years of athletics service to the University.
