Timothy Giesel, of Lagrange and a 2009 graduate of Keystone High School, has recently signed a national letter of intent to attend Malone University this fall and play soccer and baseball for the Pioneers. He is a four-year letterman in both soccer and baseball and also lettered one year in football. The 5’10” soccer standout and catcher was a part of the 2007 district champion and regional runner-up baseball team. His baseball team was also PAC champions two years in a row (2007 and 2008).
Giesel has earned All County/Conference in both soccer and baseball since his freshman year. He was also All-Ohio in baseball in his junior year. His other accomplishments include being the 2000 Major League Baseball Diamond Skills National Champion at Turner Field in Atlanta, Georgia. Academically, Giesel was a three-year Academic Honor Roll student.
Giesel intends to major in Political Science and minor in History at Malone. He is the son of Tim and Linda Giesel of Lagrange.
