Things to Bring
The following list was developed to help you as you as you prepare for life in Malone's residence halls. It's a good idea to wait until you have moved in and see what you
really need before you bring or buy everything on the
list.
We also strongly encourage
you to talk to your roommate(s) as you determine what to
pack or buy. Many items such as a couch,
television, refrigerator, etc, can be shared.
- Pillows, blankets/comforter and twin sheets to fit extra long mattress (80-inches long)
- Alarm Clock
- Multiple outlet surge protectors and 3-prong extension cords
- Telephone, answering machine,
and pre-paid calling cards
- Students should only use
wireless/cordless telephones that are DECT 6.0 compliant in residence hall rooms. This
is the best and only way
to assure that the phone does not interact with the wireless access points that are or will be located
in the residence halls.
(It should state right on the box they purchase the phone in whether it is DECT
6.0 compliant). It will say this on the box when the student purchases them from the store.
